Recent Hotel Royal Penang Review: "We chose the hotel for its location which is near to the eating places and we are not disappointed as it it linked by the hotel's back door. Ask for higher floors where the rooms are newly renovated. Hotel lobby badly needs a facelift but who cares if you're only there for like 5 minsr Don't miss the courtyard buffet steamboat at Golden BBQ Steamboat  at Jalan Nagore which is just behind the hotel (beside Pinang Plaza where there's Giant supermarket and Guardian Pharmacy) at RM20 (adult) RM10 (child) which includes free flow of drinks, dessert and ice cream! There's also a row of hawker fare behind the hotel for a hearty and satisfying breakfast."
