Recent Paradise Sandy Beach Review: "I have just returned from a 10 day trip in Malaysia. I had never been to Malaysia before and decided to stay 4 days at Paradise Sandy Beach in Penang. I was so impressed and both me and my girlfriend loved it there. I booked a deluxe suite and really was not sure what to expect. The room was amazing with big king size bed and nice decor and big separate  en-suite bathroom. The real bonus though was having a separate spacious lounge area and TV and sofa to relax in which I have never had before. Even had two balconies looking at sea which was great. Far exceeded my expectations! The staff at hotel were all very friendly. The only complaint I have really is that when the refundable deposit was taken on my debit card when I arrived it went straight through and I was was charged immediately. To be fair though, the hotel realised straight away and actually gave the cash back to me right then. The swimming pool at the hotel is quite big and close to beach although I have to admit it is not the nicest beach ever. I did expect that though about the beach so was not really disappointed. There are restaurants nearby although better restaurants can be found further away closer to George Town. We ate at hotel some nights and food was reasonable there although not spectacular. For me though the actual hotel room and facilities made it for me and the staff were excellent. Everyone was so helpful when needing to get taxi or helping to organise travel arrangements for tours. If I came back to Penang I would definitely stay there again."
